OQEMA in Italy is based in Lombardy, with offices in Milan and Rivanazzano Terme (PV), where the headquarters, the logistics centre and warehouse are also located. It was formerly known as Elettrochimica Valle Staffora. Since 1930, Elettrochimica Valle Staffora has been distributing of chemical raw materials and it has worked ever since to identify solutions that improve the quality of our lives and the those of future generations.

Since April 2019 Elettrochimica Valle Staffora has been part of the OQEMA Group, an internationally active distribution company for basic chemicals and specialities headquartered in Mönchengladbach, Germany. In 2020 Elettrochimica Valle Staffora changed name to OQEMA S.p.A.
