Packaging
Legislative Decree No. 116 of September 3, 2020, which transposes EU Directive 2018/851 on waste, and Directive (EU) 2018/852 on packaging and packaging waste, stipulates that on all packaging (primary, secondary and tertiary) producers must indicate, for the purpose of packaging identification and classification, the nature of the packaging materials used, based on Commission Decision 97/129/EC.
As is well known, under the current Consolidated Environmental Act, as of January 1, 2023, new obligations regarding the environmental labelling of packaging will come into force, which stipulate-among other things-that all packaging will have to be properly labelled in accordance with the modalities established by the applicable UNI technical standards to facilitate the collection, reuse, recovery and recycling of packaging, and that on all packaging (primary, secondary and tertiary) producers will have to indicate, for the purposes of packaging identification and classification, the nature of the packaging materials used.
Since these obligations will also apply in relation to the products purchased and resold by OQEMA, we would like to inform you that our company has already taken steps to use, for almost all of its products, the labelling required by the regulations in force and, in accordance with the guidelines adopted by the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security (Ministerial Decree No. 360/2022) has also adopted digital channels for the provision of the new labels, specifying that these methods may completely replace or supplement the mandatory information physically displayed on the packaging.
